The past 16th and 17th of June saw the 8th Congress of International Spanish Fairs celebrated at IFA, Fair Institution Of Alicante, in which the AIMFE has participated very actively, with the communication “What role do exhibition service companies play in the actual exhibition Institutions” by Carlos Olías second vice president of AIMFE, and in the later debate on “Routes of the future of fairs and way ways get there” along with Antonio Manuel Brito, Director of APFC and Consultor Internacional, Jose Antonio Vicente, President of AFE and Antonio Galvañ, Director IFA. The conclusions from this Congress were that the fairs have to adapt to the needs of the clients and have to offer to the companies reasonable solutions, innovating, ability to adapt to the present situation. The motto of this edition has made a clear reference to the necessity to transform the sector and to give it added value in the present economic crisis and to position itself as a motor of economic reactivation.
